Danny Wilson is the CEO of Geocene, which is a premium consultancy that specializes in helping teams build devices including hardware, communications, mobile apps, backend systems, and data analysis platforms.

Danny is passionate about improving the impacts of the clean cooking sector, and he is working toward that goal by enabling anyone to monitor cookstoves with sensors. Danny’s company, Geocene, makes a fully-integrated stove usage monitoring system that is extremely robust, affordable, and easy to deploy at scales of thousands of cookstoves. 

He is a Faculty and Blum Center Senior Fellow UC Berkeley’s College of Engineering. He is focused on research about how IoT sensors and AI can improve the impacts of global development. Danny is a National Science Foundation and Fulbright Fellow and holds a Ph.D. in mechanical engineering from UC Berkeley.
